Within our Tri-Elixir you will find two beautiful upcycled cold pressed oils to nourish and feed your skin.
The first, is grape seed oil. The grape seed oil that we source is cold pressed, organic and unrefined. It is pure green goodness. It has a deep green hue and a slight sweet, nutty scent.
This ingredient is upcycled from the wine and juice industry, the seeds removed from the leftover pulp and then cold pressed to produce this nourishing oil. It has a divine silky texture and a pleasant absorbancy. We've included grape seed oil in the TRI-ELIXIR for its generous quantity of linoleic acid (omega 6) which is a valuable fatty acid for protecting the skin barrier. Grape seed oil is also rich in antioxidants, particularly Vitamin E and has properties that make it wonderful for strengthening collagen - the building blocks of our skin.
You'll find grape seed oil right at the top of our TRI-ELIXIR ingredients list, which means it is the oil used in the highest quantity.
Our next upcycled ingredient is our nutrient rich cranberry seed oil, again upcycled from the juicing industry. Our cranberry seed oil is cold pressed and unrefined with a light fruity scent. It is a beautiful oil and is rich in pro-vitamin A carotenoids, a type of antioxidant. Antioxidants are so valuable in skincare as they fight against the free radicals which cause the signs of ageing in our skin and bodies.
Cranberry seed oil also contains a generous quantity of alpha linolenic acid (omega 3), a fatty acid that is revered for its anti-inflammatory actions. It can help to soothe irritation in the skin and brings a lovely protective element to the formulation.
